Welcome to Mid Northern Hockey Club.

We are a small, passionate club that is proud to be a part of Hukerenui School and the wider community. We are lucky enough to be able to use the school turf for training. We cater for all abilities, years 1-8 (ages 5-12) and play at Kensington Park on Saturday mornings during Term 2 and 3.

2017 Season

Hi all,

Another superb season from all our players and supporters. We had 3 teams compete this year rain hail or shine but you all turned up with smiles on your faces and a keenness to play. We had our ups and downs but to all our teams be proud of yourselves, you all played with your heads held high, you gave your all every game and your sportsmanship on and off the field is something to be proud of. Kia Kaha!!

This year a big congratulations to the following boys Aaron, Charles and Evan who were selected to represent Whangarei at the Year 5 & 6 inter- association Tournament against teams from the Bay of Islands area. Well done what a great opportunity for you all.

A season to remember with our Kiwi Sticks team topping there table for their division. Congratulations to you all. To the coach and players you had a fantastic season played hard and it paid of at the end of the day.

2016 Season

Wow what a fantastic season for the club. We had four teams competing in the Winter competition. Our Mini Stick Development team which is our youngest members (years 1-2, ages 5&6) Our Mini Sticks ( years 3-4, ages 7-8) Our Kiwi Sticks ( years 5-6, ages 9-11) and Our Kiwi Stick Development team which our Intermediate aged members (year 7-8, ages 12-13)  The season was a bit of wet one but that didn’t stop our keen players and supporters from getting out there every Saturday morning. The season came to a close with some very happy players especially our Kiwi Sticks team that came top of the table undefeated. Congratulations to the team you did us all proud.
Congratulations to Caleb, Xavier and George who represented Whangarei in the Year 5&6 Inter- association Tournament against teams from the Bay of Islands area.
